Earlier today, November 25, 2022, the wife of our incoming Deputy Governor, Dr John Ayuba, held a meeting with the PDP Women Leaders of Zone 3 in Kafanchan. She was accompanied by the Wives of the State House of Assembly Members of Kaura and Zangon Kataf State Constituencies and Wives of other PDP candidates for State House of Assembly and House of Representatives.
In her Welcome address, the Zonal Woman Leader thanked her Excellency for coming down home not only to have a meeting with her fellow Sisters and Mothers but to also hear from them. She assured Her Excellency of their Support and also charged her not to forget them when they finally make it to power. In her words, “just as we are holding today’s meeting, come next year they will come back to celebrate victory.” Mrs Gurara, who spoke on behalf of Wives of all the candidates from the Zone encouraged the women not to relent in working for the victory of the Party. She also reminded the women that they are the majority when it comes to election, followed by the youths, adding that no woman should give out her PVC/VIN number to anybody in the name of empowerment by the Government in Power. “Every woman leader should take the campaign to Gida Gida”, she admonished. On her part, Her Excellency first thanked God for everything and also thanked the women for coming. She said that the PDP Government, if elected, will fix all the mistakes of the present government, adding that the Ashiru/Ayuba government will focus on its 5-point Agenda. “We want to sleep with our eyes closed, food on our table, good education for our Children and jobs for them to do.”
She told the women that she and her team would be coming back for proper meeting with the women, stating that the meeting today was merely preparatory ground. She assured that the next meeting will involve the wife of Rt Hon Isa Ashiru and members of the Campaign Council and reminded the women that PDP is from Bottom To Top and that women should talk to their husbands and children to vote PDP. “Nobody should be deceived by the other parties”, she cautioned. Finally, she thanked the women for their support and encouraged them to go back to their various communities with the message of hope that PDP is coming to rescue Kaduna State and Nigeria.
The excited women pledged to work for the Party’s candidate from bottom up.
