The Renewed Killings in Kaura and Zangon Kataf LGAs Stand Totally Condemned.

I condemn, in the strongest terms possible, the renewed attacks on parts of Kamuru in Zangon Kataf Local Government, and Kpap and Malagum communities in Kaura Local Government areas of Kaduna State.
Reports indicate that two people were killed on their farms, while the third was killed at his house a few days back in Kaura LGA. Yesterday, Tuesday, 13th December 2022, two men in Kamuru were killed, while another two were killed on Monday at Agwan Alulu.
These coordinated attacks on innocent people are reminiscent of attacks that have occurred just before other Christmas celebrations or election periods. This shows that these attacks are premeditated, intentional, and aimed at displacing people and instilling fear.
But despite these provocative attacks on some communities in Southern Kaduna, the people have vowed to live peacefully with everyone but would not tolerate these continuous killings and attacks on them while on their homes or farms. These attacks have assumed worrisome patterns in their timings and occurrences, leaving no one in doubt that they are deliberately orchestrated by some individuals or groups.
I commend the security agencies who have dispersed into the bushes trying to trail the killers, but I am also urging them to be more proactive to forestall these attacks from occurring and create a safe environment for our people to go about their daily activities.
Once again, I strongly condemn these killings and extend my heartfelt condolences to the victims and their families.
