October 2nd, 2020, around 8pm when families were settling down for the night, bulldozers, accompanied by armed personnel rolled into Graceland, Zaria, and started leveling homes, businesses, and different assets. All through the night into the afternoon of the next day, houses were demolished. 268 homes and businesses were affected. Thousands of families were rendered homeless. Some of the buildings initially had CofO, but the administration of el-rufai insisted that they must re-certify. They did, got CofO signed by el-rufai himself but still, their homes were demolished. Some didn’t recover. I went there and I cried! The same el-rufai is supporting someone who he said he might do worse than him.
