PDP has submitted a formal request for the review of the decision of the Returning Officer of the Kaduna state governorship election to the INEC review committee, in line with the provision of section 65(1] of the electoral act, 2022.
Arbitrary holding onto power by political leaders continues to underscore Africa’s democracy. The 18th March, 2023 impropriety, use of professors and INEC, and hoodwinking popular opinion in Kaduna state is yet another milestone fag.
The election where Sen. Uba Sani was shambolically declared the winner of the election is a sore in the eye. The Returning officer did this, shamefully, after his attention was drawn to the discrepancies witnessed in Lere and others, he went ahead and declared a winner. At best, INEC would have declared the election inconclusive.
Though, it will take a Nigerian higher anointing to reject the alleged N2bn offered to the umpire to, in their word, “just declare us the winner.” I shouldn’t have blamed the professor for falling lazily to such bait of Delaila’s magnitude but, I did because a professor must be above board like C’Zar’s wife. My brain gets overwhelmed by the exhaustion of trying to correlate professorship with integrity in Nigeria with no moss for it.
I didn’t mean that all professors have a high propensity to commit a crime, I mean professors in Nigeria have a frail willpower to reject the proceeds of crime as exemplified.
The professor has done his worst by going against the will of the majority. To us, we are just at the fag end of unraveling the Prof. Bilbis puzzle, any contemplation outside reclaiming the mandate the people of Kaduna state gave to PDP is not a moral option. KEEP HOPE ALIVE!
