Don’t be deceived in the name of religion again: Pashi to Hausa Fulani in southern kaduna

As the forthcoming General elections continue to draw nearer, the hausa fulani communities in southern kaduna and kaduna state have been assured of effective and inclusion in the PDP led government if the party wins the next years polls.

Speaking to First page daily Reporters recently,
The peoples democratic party stalwart in kaduna state and the grant patron kaduna state PDP youths Ambassadors, Dr Saleh Pashi, expressed his happiness and gratitude to the hausa fulani communities for coming out en-masse during the last voter’s registration exercise and call on them to ensure they also go out to collect their PVC’s.

Dr Pashi described the PDP as a highly organised party that conducted free and fair primaries as adjudged by many including the international community as free and fair that led to the emergence of competent people contesting for election at various levels.

Dr Pashi commended the leadership of the party for providing a level playground for its members during the primaries which made the exercise to be credible where the best people emerged.
This, Dr Saleh Pashi said, has given their party the confidence to be very successful in the polls and emerge victorious.

Dr Pashi said, i can’t stop calling on my hausa Fulani brothers and sisters not to allow their self to be deceived in the name of religion during the 2023 general election as it happened in 2015 and 2019 that ended up landing the fulani in a serious trouble.

Dr Pashi assured them with PDP and Rt Hon Isah Ashiru Kudan in government of a state made up of different interest groups, tribes and religion, will be committed to providing a consultative forum where each of these interest groups would be represented to enable him synthesis the aggregate opinion of all into a consensus position.

I assure you, all of this interest groups would not be left out from knowing what is happening in the government.

He said the hausa fulani communities have been ruined by the current APC government anti-people policies and can’t afford to continue with another four years of pains and tears.

He urged them to remember years back when the fulani were leaving in peace with other ethics unlike now that a fulani is not trusted everywhere, he also call on them to remain calm and leave in peace with one another and report any suspicious person around them.

The chairman PDP media team kachia local government, Comr Jethro Daniel described the rumours going round in the social media that the kaduna state chapter of the peoples democratic party PDP, sold the parties ticket to Usman Ibrahim Sardaunan Badarawa by conducting the the fresh primary election of the kaduna central Senatorial seat as directed by the high Court.

It could be recalled that, the Fed high Court seating in kaduna has ealir last week order the people democratic party to conduct a fresh primary election following the suit filed by Usman Ibrahim Sardaunan Badarawa challenging the legality of the party primary election that produced Adamu Lawal Mr Lah as the party’s flag bearer for kaduna central Senatorial seat.

Comr Jethro Daniel said, i disagree with those people with the opinion that, Sardaunan Badarawa used money to get the support of the state chapter of the party;
Jethro said, number one, its not the duty of the state chapter of the party to conduct the Senatorial primary election, its not their duty to set up the election committee, its not their duty to set up appeal committee, talk more of even setting a date for the re-run of the election, it is the duty of the national to do all that.

He went ahead to say, when the first primary election was conducted, the state party continued to work with Mr Lah as it’s candidate, no one heard the state chapter of the PDP parading Sardaunan Badarawa as its candidate.
So how can someone linked that problem to the state chapter of the party?

Those with the opinion that the state leadership could have done much to settled the issue internally by settling the two as their children, i agree with that, but one should know that still until the two candidates agree on the settlement, the electoral law does not give the party the power to force someone to step down for anybody.

Secondly, the state chairman during a press released yesterday, made it clear that, they don’t have anything against Mr Lah, he said the national organised the election not the state, and after the first primaries, at the state level, when Sardauna wrote an appeal to the national that there was an over-voting, they made efforts to settle the matter by setting up a committee under the Chairmanship of Sen Aziz, but the person with the ticket refused to appear before the committee.
Also Former vice president now the party’s presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar set up another committee aimed at resolving the issue outside the court, to be chaired by Gov Okowa the party’s vice presidential candidate, among the committee members is the kaduna state Gubernatorial Candidate, Rt Hon Isah Ashiru Kudan, all of them appeared on the agreed date, but the person with the ticket, failed to appear before the committee,

He also said, after the first primary election, Sardauna wrote a petition to the national that there was an over-voting, the national set up a committee to come and look into the petition, they came, their duty is to accommodate them and provide a place for them to do their work and we did that, after they took their report to national, the national said they agreed with their report that there was an over-voting, the national set another date and another committee for a fresh election, the committee came and the same national also withdrawn the committee that they realised another thing, there was no over voting, they didn’t write to the state and the candidates that they have withdrawn the re-run again, so Sardauna used the ealir later sent to both the aspirants and the state chapter of the party cancelling the first primary to the court and that’s what the court used to passed the Judgment.

Hassan Hyat said, after the national received the court order and reached out to them with all the aspirants for a re-run on Monday, some of the aspirants said the noticed was too short for them and decided to withdraw from the race, Mr Lah acknowledged getting the noticed by replying to the state secretary with an insult, they also heard that he, Mr Lah went for Appeal, but uptil the day and time for the election, they didn’t get any court order from the upper court, and the national didn’t tell them they received any court order stopping them from conducting the re-run.

The state PRO also came out on radio to say the same thing, the spokesman to the state chairman, Mr Edward Auta also came out on radio and clear the air on that, the state chairman also came out to clear the air on that.

All this, Mr Lah is yet to come out to debunked all the claims from the state chapter of the party and the state chairman.

Comr Jethro wonder how some people are till going round tarnishing the name of the state chairman who has nothing to do with that election, because he’s not even from the zone.

Comr Jethro described Hassan Hyat as an elder statesman from his local government whom they hold in high esteem and they can’t fold their arms and watch some people tarnishing his name for their personal interest in the name of politics.

He thereby, called on Mr Lah to come out and clear the air the way the chairman came out to clear his name and also tender an open apology to the state chairman.

The kaduna state government has installed Mr Zamani Dogon Yaro as the first Agom kachia instead of Adara Chiefdom.
Mr Zamani Dogon Yaro who is the District Head of Bishini was installed by the kaduna state government today.
You could recalled that over two years now since the death of the late Agom Adara who was abducted and murdered by some unknown gunmen, since then the news of the scrapped and renamed of the chiefdom broke out and the traditional tittle holders kicked against that and approached the court.

The member kaduna state House of assembly representing Jama’a constituency, Hon Ali Kalat has described his been onground and identifying with his constituents as the secret behind his second term ticket.

As u all know, majority of the members of the kaduna state house of assembly could not secure tickets of their party especially that of PDP from southern kaduna.

Hon Kalat when asked about the secret behind his victory at the primaries, he said, as you know, politics is a local business, i have identify with my people, i have been there, i associate very well with my people, i have been onground and they believe in me and my antecedents, so there’s no any secret behind that than associating with my constituents.


When asked about his achievements, he said, he can not say so much have been achieved interms of infrastructure, as you know, the duty of the legislature is to make law, but in the wisdom of PDP then when in power, there’s what is called constituency projects, its what legislatures leverage on to carry out one or two projects, but it’s sad to tell you that, that has been scrapped by the present government under the leadership of Mallam Nasiru Elrufai and because that has been scrapped, that has affected the legislatures of the sixth assembly in the state.

But, one thing we’ve uphold very strongly is the area of education, we embarked on payments of germ fees, we help in pursuing for admissions and payments of their fees at different levels, that we have been done so much between last year and this year. We also assisted some in securing employments names i can not mention right now, for example like the last employment of teachers, i effluents the appointments of many from my constituency and some other agencies. Aside from that, we have also done some little practical projects like culverts etc, we have assisted people in somany ways, eg farmers etc.

So i did not shi away from letting my people knowing the position of the assembly at some points i even show them my payslip because if you decide to hide things you give people rooms to be assuming.

When asked about the readiness of his party about the next years general election, looking at how some people see the Labour Party as a threat to PDP especially from southern kaduna?

Hon Kalat said, PDP is the most prepared party in the country, he said if you can remember, the PDP is the first political party to flag off its campaign in the country.
He expressed confidence that they are winning the next years election looking at the type of candidates the party produced both at the national and state level.
He described Atiku and Ashiru as the most qualified candidates among the candidates of the other parties following their trackrecords.

Talking about the labour party, he said, he believe the people of southern kaduna are very wise and educated, people southern kaduna can not forget so soon the type of developments the PDP brought to the area, compare to the present government under the leadership of Mallam Nasiru Elrufai which has nothing to show for in the area except pains and sorrows.
